Hello! I went through your entire blog, in a few days!! Yes, im crazy, but i've known joel's work just a month ago thanks to community (not from the us so i never heard of the soup). He is perfect, and thank you for all your hard work, i got to watch lots of videos and learn a lot about him, which made me love him more!! But i sent you questions a couple of days ago, i dont know if you got them? I know tumblr can be an ass sometimes. Thank you again, this blog is PERFECT :D
Awwnnn, thank you!! :D And again, sorry for not replying earlier :( I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the blog. That’s why I try to keep this archive up and running :) (were I a better mod, everything would be more efficiently tagged).
you mentionned joel wearing old clothes too big for him, do you have photos or an older post of yours where we see the transformation? i didnt even know he lost weight, idk how he looked like before!
I actually made a post about it some time ago, but I have no idea where it is D: Probably made it “private” because I was ashamed of looking like a stalker? If you look at older clips of The Soup (2008-ish) you’ll notice his face was a bit rounder, whereas now his cheekbones are so defined you could cut diamonds with them.
dont you think its weird to think of joel in spy kids? do you think it fits his personality ? i thought it was weird, but now i guess i really wanna see a kiss between him and jessica alba!! also, in community, i heard chevy seemed a little out of the group, not very social ... whats your opinion, or what have you heard? sorry for all the questions:!
I actually saw Joel’s bits from Spy Kids 4 (here’s the streaming link :P) and he’s not bad. There’s actually a scene in the movie that makes you go “wow, this guy is a really good actor. WHY IS HE HERE!? Oh yes, to work with Robert Rodríguez and make out with Jessica Alba.” It’s actually interesting, because the premise for his character is “a guy who works too much to spend time with his family.” In the end, I guess “work is work.” Also, it was nice to see him play a nice dude for once :P
As for the interaction between the cast, I have no comment, seeing how I’m not their personal friend :( (I wish I was, though).
Sorry for the late reply!! I’ve been kind of busy with school.
Zooey Deschanel and Joel McHale co-host the WGAW’s 2012 Writers Guild Awards
HollywoodNews.com: The Writers Guild of America, West has tapped Zooey Deschanel (New Girl, Days of Summer) and Joel McHale (Community, The Soup) to co-host the WGAW’s 2012 Writers Guild Awards L.A. show on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at the Hollywood Palladium.
“I am excited to host the WGA awards. It should be a lot of fun! I am very honored to be included,” said Deschanel.
“I’m deeply excited to co-host the WGA Awards with Zooey Deschanel. She has that rare combination in that she’s beautiful, funny, and smells good. Without writers, movies and TV would be worse than untreated syphilis, so I’m thrilled to hand these fine people awards for their great work,” said McHale.
“I love that I’m working with the stars of New Girl and Community. As Abed might say on Community, ‘This is going to be the greatest sitcom crossover since The Jeffersons visited Fresh Prince of Bel Air,’” said 2012 WGA West Coast ceremony Executive Producer Spike Jones, Jr.
AskReddit recently had a post asking “Has anyone ever been bullied by someone who went on to be rich and famous?” These are some of the answers. Like blind items, take them with a grain of salt.
Joel McHale from Community actually saved my friend from being bullied in high school. He was being harassed by some football players, and Joel, who’s a pretty big guy, told them to fuck off. Apparently he’s a really nice guy.
The first season of Morgan Spurlock’s “A Day in the Life” documented the ordinary lives of extraordinary people, from multi-platinum musician will.i.am and music sensation Girl Talk to street artist Mr. Brainwash and mogul Sir Richard Branson. Hulu renews its successful first original series to deliver 10 new episodes of “A Day in the Life.” For season two, Spurlock captures the daily routines of highly motivated individuals as they follow their passions, including actor Joel McHale, comedian Marc Maron and UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller, among others.
I heard that Joel's episode of Sesame Street will be airing on Thursday. Will you be watching? :)
1) AHKSJDHAKLJSHDKAJHSDKJASHDJK 2) Where did you hear that? 3) Do you mean NEXT Thursday? 4) I don’t think so :( I need to be at school… I hope somebody gets it, or that it gets posted on the Sesame Street website (Ken Jeong’s video is on their youtube page)
I’m starting to get tired of how many dude-critic blogs I’ve been finding lately that sexualize Alison Brie, or even worse, those that assume the gifs of her bouncing boobies were made by men. Us girls were the first ones to point out how gorgeous she is, and we’re the ones who make gifs of her bouncing rack (ok, not “ME” in particular, I make gifs of Joel’s bouncing rack).
No, wait, you know what’s worse? When they go around “throwing bones” to us, female fans, acknowledging the multiple instances where (more often than not) Joel, Donald and Danny have been naked as if the show had sexualized Alison first, and the guys later.
I just feel like we had this awesome thing, a show that acknowledges women have a libido and that we too deserve to see fanservice in a show whose target audience is not 35 year-old women or 15 year-old girls, and suddenly the older BOYS come over to piss over everything and claim it as their own, only to later behave as “the better people” and “allow” us to “have some of it too.”
Also, where is the Gillian love!? She’s just as beautiful and hilarious and talented as Alison is.
I’ll just take a breath and stare at that glorious man-rack.
